Blood transfusion question (during pregnancy)?

i was just wondering, say your pregnant, which i am, anyways for anyone if something was gonna happen where ive heard that some women have lost alot of blood due to complication, and had to get blood transfusions, can they take blood from like your husband and give it to you, because i would not like the idea just from hearing scary stories of having a blood transfusion from someone that i didnt know, i was just wondering if this was possibe for people?
