Question about Ezekiel, you don't need to be an expert?

The prophecy in Ezekiel was a prophecy against God's own people, the Israelites. Due to their apostasy and turning to false idols and breaking God's laws repeatedly, he had Ezekiel prophecy against them. The nation of Israel was taken into captivity by the Babylonians, which God foretold through Ezekiel. The Babylonians destroyed the Temple and Jerusalem in 607 B.C.E. and they didn't return until 539 B.C.E. Ezekiel himself was taken into captivity as well along with Jeremiah, and Daniel. They too had been sent by God to prophecy against the Israelites. They had the privilege of returning back to Jerusalem when they were freed by Cyrus the Great in 539.
