Tip of knife found in Ice Cream.?

So I brought my daughter to a Cold Stone Ice cream/Tim hortons to get an ice cream. This afternoon as she was finishing it she spit out a piece of what looked like metal. Upon rinsing it off I realized it was the top of a knife that had obviously been broken off. She cut the tip of her tongue, i took her to the doctors so they could doent it and now im not sure what I should do.
