Do you think this would make for a good movie plot?

I don't really have everything thought out im sure, but i just had this basic idea that i thought would be kind of cool, but maybe not. The movie would be like a action fantasy with some dramatic elements in some of the characters. The main character isn't young but he isnt really old either. Hes kind of a normal guy, but he starts remembering strange dreams from when he was a kid about being in a church and seeing this strange room with hooded men inside. The plot thickens as he visits his family and tells his mother about his troubling dreams. She tells him he is adopted. Enraged he sets off to find out his true past. His real mother was dead she died during child birth and the father mysteriously dissapeared years ago. He finds connections to a church in the city where he was baptized and goes there. He finds a priest who immediatly begins to examine his hands and tells him that he is the chosen one who can open the door. The door is in a secret room under the church.
